Summer Adventures: Part 3

Our summer adventures continue! After Lincoln we traveled to South Bend to visit Tyler. He started a Master's program at Notre Dame for Educational Leadership and had an intensive four week course this summer. It's always been his dream to go to Notre Dame so this opportunity was a dream come true!
Grand Mommy came to pick us up and was a wonderful travel companion!
Both the boys did well on the flights! James enjoyed having his own seat!
It was so good to see Tyler after over two weeks of being long distance! The boys definitely enjoyed having their daddy back!

Good looking Rosser men!
We spent the weekend with Tyler and loved being on campus. We ate in the dining hall and got to meet some of his classmates.

Used the ice cream to coax James back into the stroller...
We walked all over campus (so thankful we brought two strollers!) and enjoyed seeing the Golden Dome and the Basilica.

To get the boys naps we drove around South Bend--a lot!

Tyler had classes and homework to do so we found some fun things to do with the boys. We went to a children's health museum and the boys enjoyed playing there.

The boys and I spent two mornings at a park close to the hotel. The weather was so beautiful and we enjoyed being outside!
Tyler lived the college life--slept in a dorm room, ate in the cafeteria, went to class all day, did homework at night, went to bed after midnight most nights, etc. He has always been a Notre Dame fan and he got to meet some athletes!

He got a tour of the football stadium on the last day and got to do something he's always dreamed of doing:

We changed our travel plans for the way home and decided to drive. The 11 hour drive turned into about a 16 hour drive with stops and for that amount of time in the car the boys did great! James perfected his word "down" and we heard that word many, many times! Here are a couple videos of the sweet little buddy in the car (it's worth going to the online website to see them, especially the middle video!)

We had a wonderful weekend and look forward to doing this again next summer! We sure missed Grand Daddy who wasn't able to come with us!
