In the words of GrandDaddy

We are really enjoying our time with Tyler's parents and they are having some great time with their grandson! Here are some photos and captions that Tyler's dad captured and I can't get over how funny they are!

Photo of James Michael...taken from a drone.

Watching football with James Michael tonight. He's a Broncos fan. Not going as he had expected.

...then the Rabbi said to the Priest...

James Michael Rosser: I hold in my hands a magic firefly with great powers. It makes the holder the most adorable in the land. Okay, okay. Just the most adorable in the Rosser household.

See, Grand Dad...I told you Tony Romo is a great quarterback. Give me five! Go Cowboys!!!

Showers of Blessings {7}

We are having a wonderful December. It's been such a blessing to have Tyler not travel as much for work and have some great family time at home. We're enjoying the warmer weather and still can't believe it's mid-December and 70 degrees outside. Last night we went for a walk to get ice cream...not something we've ever done in December before! Here are some blessings of the past few weeks.

-one-
Our friends the Days babysat James while Tyler and I went on a date. We went to a Moroccan restaurant in Epcot and enjoyed the whole experience. I was quite proud of myself to venture out and try different food. I had couscous and chicken and Tyler had shish kabobs with yellow rice.

-two-
Our friend Hannah came to visit us and she got to meet James. Hannah was a student at Loras College when we were missionaries there and now she is a FOCUS missionary at Northwestern University. We had a wonderful visit with her and best of all was that James got to try his hand at his first musical instrument! Hannah played a few songs for James and he gave her lots of smiles!

-three-
We decorated for Christmas and have really been enjoying being reminded it's Advent and Christmas is coming. Especially when it doesn't feel like it outside! Getting out the Christmas decorations brings back lots of memories of the past few years and we know there are many more memories in the years to come!
P.S. Thanks to my sister for her great idea of how to hang Christmas cards!

A Stitch of Love

In December 2010 I started making a Christmas stocking for our godson and nephew, Michael. He wasn't even born yet and I had high hopes of finishing it for his first Christmas, which didn't happen. Four years later I finally finished it! I took pictures as I went along and it's fun to look back and see the progress. I have fond memories of working on it in Dubuque, Lincoln, Montgomery, Belmont, and Orlando...and every stitch was a prayer for him. It was such an accomplishment to finish it and very special to give it to him! We love you Michael!

Snapshots: A Week in the Life of James (18)

James is 4 months old this week! Everyday we are blessed by his smiles and little giggles. He is starting to play with toys more and just the other day rolled from his back to his stomach! He is sleeping unswaddled in his co-sleeper at night and is still the king of cat-naps during the day (wakes up at 30 minutes on the dot most times.) We love you so much James!
