Family Walk

We have been having so much fun watching James walk! We got a little pair of tennis shoes and went for a family walk outside.
Had to stop for a few breaks!

First Steps

James is walking! It's so fun to see how every day he gets more confident and steadier on his feet. I know I'll miss his crawling, especially when he gets so excited, puts his head down, and crawls really fast going "ga-ga-ga-" but this walking thing is pretty cool too! Here's a video from a few days ago!

Loving Life with the Grandparents

We had a fabulous time hosting my mom and dad in Alabama. The week went fast but we all had some great quality time together! James didn't take long at all to warm up to his grandparents!
We had a relaxing week and thanks to mom and dad I got some time to work and rest. It's great to have live-in babysitters! Especially when they're grandparents!

One thing I'll always remember about this past week is driving in the car. James was so happy to have backseat buddies! I don't know who was happier, Grandma and Grandpa or James!

Breakfast at Chappy's
We had a few birding adventures. One morning we went to Mass with Tyler at his school at 7am and then went to Chappy's for breakfast. Then we went to The Waters to go birding and enjoyed the beautiful morning outside.

Another morning we went to Panera and then went to a park in town.

The last night together we met Barb and Jeff downtown for BBQ. It was very special to all be together!
We miss Grandma and Grandpa already! We are so thankful for the time we spent together and look forward to seeing them again soon!

We love you!

Good time with Grandma!

We had a wonderful two weeks with Grandma visiting! Lots of walks and good quality time. James took his first steps the other day and Grandma saw them first! James warmed up quickly and thanks to Grandma he has started using some signs for "more" and "all done."

Mom was my guest at a color night for my Tuesday night Mary Kay meeting and she got to try our new fall colors! She looked fabulous and we had a ton of fun playing with color.

I have finally weaned James! I say finally because I've been ready to do it the last few months but I've been totally okay with feeding him because he was still interested. Thanks to some encouragement from my wonderful sister we started feeding him less and less and eventually not at all...and it worked! I am still surprised that he goes down for naps and bedtime without me feeding him, he is growing up!

James is getting so big! Almost time for a bigger carseat!

We had such a wonderful time with Grandma and can't wait for another wonderful week ahead now that Grandpa has joined us!
