Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We are excited to be starting the Easter season and had a special family day to celebrate Jesus' resurrection.

Tyler's parents took James for the weekend so Tyler and I could have a "stay-cation." We got some much needed sleep and feel like we are ready for the craziness of the next two months! Only five more soccer games before the playoffs, and I am 35 weeks so we are weeks away from meeting Baby John (James was born at 37 weeks, so who knows when John will come! But I'd be happy to get through April because of all that is going on with soccer and work. At least it's in God's hands and out of our control so I can just let go and enjoy the moment! At least that is the hope.)

After being reunited Sunday morning after Mass we all went out for an Easter brunch. James got to meet the Easter Bunny...don't quite know how he felt about him. Seemed interested but a little hesitant.

Then we came back to our house for an Easter egg hunt. James caught on right away and found all 12 eggs! He enjoyed opening them and finding a fruit snack in each one. What a treat!

Found one by his trucks
Adding them to the basket
Enjoying opening them
Just having a little snack
And because seeing Mr. James in action is even cuter, here is a short video of the Easter egg hunt!

Life with a 19 Month Old

Life with a 19 month old is....
joyful, adventurous, exciting, exhausting...never boring!
This is right before he got out of the cart and threw a glass jar of something on the floor that shattered and went everywhere...
We are cherishing every day with our little buddy who is growing up so fast! James still isn't using many words to communicate but he definitely tells us what he wants. We are seeing his personality emerge more and more every day...persistent, strong-willed, adventurous, and definitely loving. We get several hugs and "love pats" a day. Although he has started the hitting/throwing things phase, so we're working on that!
He loves to do what we do and doesn't always understand why he can't always do what we do!

James loves being with other children and has found many friends! We're excited to see how he responds to having baby John around soon!
