What's Been Happening at Our House

Now that it's October and finally starting to feel like the beginning of fall with some cooler weather, I thought it'd be fun to show some pictures of what we've been up to at the Rosser house. The biggest news is that my parents visited us on their way to moving to Colorado. That's right, they love us so much they were willing to drive from Nebraska to Alabama to bring us some things from their house.

I've been enjoying decorating for fall and here is our table arrangement. Even though it's still 80s-90s outside this helps!

Mom's grandmother's antique sewing machine that is now ours! Thanks mom!

I don't know who enjoyed each others company more: the boys or the grandparents.
I was thankful for their company and a few extra arms to hold the boys for a week!
John is almost 5 months and has the beginnings of a first tooth. He tried his first solid food of banana (pictures to come) and that was a success! We are trying to help him sleep better at night. We are used to Mr. James who slept through the night since he was 6 weeks old. But at least John is a better napper and at this stage in our lives I'm thankful I don't have to spend all day getting him to nap for 30 minutes like I did with James!
James is a two year old. Sometimes we forget because he is so independent and we really enjoy his company. Then other times he acts like he is two and we remember...But it's so fun to watch him explore and learn new things. Some of those new things include:
First science experiment
Milk, food coloring, and dish soap. Pretty cool!
Finger painting
We were at a church event where all the older kids were using scissors. James was walking around saying, "cut? cut? cut?" and it broke my heart to not let him try it. So when we got home the next day I got him a pair of scissors and showed him how to do it. He took to it pretty quickly.

James has a very sweet heart. He takes good care of Frannie. He often brings her food and water to the living room and helps her eat it.

And lastly, what's been happening at our house? Watching Paw Patrol. Maybe more than I would like. But it's a treat for all of us because James enjoys the show so much and we can have a little quiet time. Don't know what Paw Patrol is? I didn't until a couple months ago but apparently it's very popular on Nick Jr!

Things are lively as always at the Rosser household but we wouldn't have it any other way!
