Summer Adventures: Part 4

The next part of our summer adventures took part back home in Alabama! After we visited Tyler in South Bend the boys and I moved in with the Rossers for two weeks until Tyler came home. The boys had lots of special time with Grand Daddy and Grand Mommy!

Best of buds!

A new favorite activity was walking Frannie. James is at the stage where he wants to do everything we do and he wants to do it all by himself.

James got many looks from the neighbors as he was walking Frannie. It was quite the adorable sight...this little guy walking a dog!
We taught him how to let go of the leash if Frannie started to run (something he learned the hard way when he held onto the leash and his forehead hit the ground as Frannie chased a squirrel...he had quite the bump to show for it!) and how to get on the grass and stop when a car passed by.
After a few days of walking Frannie James started to pretend to pick up the poop. He would hold a blue plastic bag during the walk and every five steps he would bend down and pretend to pick up the poop.
And then there was swimming.

Since James loves bath time and loves to pour water over his head, it's no surprise that he loves the pool. "Pool? Pool?" He would say over and over...that quickly became one of his most used words as he asked to go to the pool!

We also enjoyed playing outside with water.

Maybe a future Notre Dame quarterback?
James still adores his little brother, "Dom" as he calls him. "Dom! Dom!"

We took many golf cart rides. Of course James had to drive...

Enjoying a popsicle
We were excited to welcome daddy home at the end of the two weeks and get settled back into our house, but we sure enjoyed the time with the grandparents!
