Christmas 2015

The start of our celebrations with the Rossers
We had a wonderful Christmas season! It feels like so long ago and yet not...but we have tons of pictures to share and can't wait to relive all our memories!

We really enjoyed Advent. Both Tyler and I feel like we embraced the liturgical season and it was exciting to prepare for Christmas. We started celebrating Christmas here in Montgomery, went to Lincoln for a week and a half, and then came back home for more celebrations!

Always fun times!
It was truly a joy to watch James enjoy all the Christmas decorations and little celebrations we did this year. Without a doubt his favorite part of Christmas were the lights.
No matter where were were, at home, in a store, at Church, whenever he saw lights he'd make a happy noise and point to the lights. It was a tradition at the Rosser's to go around with grand mommy and daddy to turn on all the outside Christmas lights at the house. That tradition followed us to my parents in Lincoln when in the morning James would go to turn on the Christmas tree every morning.

We spent most of our time in Lincoln inside with pajamas on and a fire going in the fireplace! Thankfully James slept till around 7am every morning and we really enjoyed the slower mornings! We had a white Christmas in Lincoln! James enjoyed his first time playing in snow.
Because of the lights, James was fascinated with the Christmas tree. He did okay not pulling too many ornaments off the tree! I enjoyed decorating the tree with dad and remembering all our family memories together!
On Christmas morning we had mom's delicious cinnamon rolls for breakfast, one of my favorite Christmas traditions. James thoroughly enjoyed it too!
James got a little more interested in opening presents as he found out cool things were inside. He was most excited about his new toothbrush from his stocking.
Then we got dressed and ready for Mass. Thanks to God's grace we had such a pleasant, peaceful, and quiet Mass. James was content to sit with us in the pew for the whole time! That doesn't happen much these days!

At the end of our time in Lincoln we had some special visitors, Dan and Lisa, Whitney and her dog Winston. We really enjoyed our short visit with them!

We were sad to say our goodbyes but look forward to the next time we get to come back! And to wrap up our Christmas adventures, we came back home to celebrate New Year's with the Rossers. We were joined by Chris and Miyoung, Chris' girlfriend who was visiting him from Korea.
Chris set up James' tricycle and that was a new favorite toy.
Learning to ride, his feet don't quite reach the pedals yet!

We are so thankful for family!
