Here is something we are really excited about: James' weaning table and chair. It's called a weaning table because this is where James learns to start eating solid food (weaning from exclusively eating breast milk). We started using the table when James was 5 months and he needed a pillow to support himself. Now at 7 months he can sit all by himself, with an occasional slip down into the chair.

For his utensils we found a cocktail spoon at World Market. This is the perfect size for him right now. Also we got a shot glass with ridges for his cup. We read that the earlier we teach him to drink out of a cup the easier it'll be for him to use it by himself. It only took about a month of him exploring what the cup was and now he has pretty much mastered grasping it with both hands, bringing it to his mouth, and lifting it up to drink the water.
The next step will be when James gets to be older and more mobile he can come to his table by himself when he is hungry. Then we will put out little snacks for him and he can eat by himself.
